Group Ticketing Policy

Below you will find some guidelines as well as some answers to frequently asked questions. Please read this information carefully, then fill out and return the attached Group Order Form to secure the best seats available.



A group is defined as 20 or more tickets in a single purchase. Groups will receive one complimentary ticket for every 20 tickets purchased.


ADVANCED GROUP RESERVATIONS (available prior to September 1)

Groups of 20 or more have the privilege of advanced reservations to secure the best seats for their outing. Reservations are taken in the period after closing the previous show and the opening of Group Ticket sales (typically in September).  A reservation can be made simply by emailing us and declaring your intentions to purchase a group of tickets.  A performance date and approximate number of tickets is all you need.  No payment is required at this time.


Group Order Forms become available in the mail and online in September when we begin group sales. Your seats will be held for the desired performance upon receipt of a signed Group Order Form along with a minimum 50% non-refundable deposit, payable to:

Seats will be assigned and held in the order the request and deposit is received.  If the form and deposit have not been received by a group with an advanced reservation, the group will be notified that they risk forfeiting their place in the order line to those who have submitted their deposit. Advanced reservation seats will not be forfeited without first this communication between Follies and the group.



  1. ADDITIONS. Once you make your initial request to hold seats and pay your minimum deposit, you may increase the quantity of seats needed until 30 days prior to the event. We will do our very best to accommodate all groups wishing to add to the number of seats needed and we cannot guarantee the additional seats will be in proximity to your original group. The sooner you can notify us of additions, the greater the likelihood that your request can be accommodated.

  2. REDUCTIONS. The Cedar Rapids Follies is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization so unsold or unused tickets may be considered a tax deductible contribution.  If you have unsold tickets, we suggest you contact the Follies Group Coordinator, Barb Colehour, to let her know how many extra tickets you have.  Therefore, if another group needs to purchase additional tickets, we can put them in contact with you to explore the possibility of purchasing the extra tickets they need from you.



A final count of tickets needed and remaining balance due, if any, must be received no later than 30 days prior to the event. After that date, and/or after receiving your final payment, we are unable to issue refunds on returned or unused tickets, for any reason.



Upon receipt of full payment, your order will be processed, and tickets will be mailed to you.

Ticket & Inclement Weather Policy

All sales are final. In the event inclement weather prevents you from attending the performance, our exchange policy allows you to change your tickets for another performance of the same production, based on availability. If you are unable to attend or exchange your tickets for a performance, you can turn the value of your tickets – less fees and taxes – into a tax-deductible contribution for the Cedar Rapids Follies. Exchanges and donations must be arranged no less than 24 hours prior to the performance date. No refunds are available when performances occur as scheduled. Please call the box office at 319-366-8203 to exchange your ticket or email to arrange for a ticket donation.
